The Vaal River Parys rafting stretch offers relaxed paddling and mild to wild white water river rafting! (Depending on the water level). The Vaal River can be paddled year round with mild winter days and hot summer fun.
Teambuilding on all the stretches can be done with activities such as croc polo, raft castle build, croc relay, run the rapid blind etc River lunch at a additional cost can be supplied. Raft through many islands and small channels. Only 1.5 hours drive from Johannesburg and Oliver Tambo international airport. No experience needed. We supply all equipment and guides.
Mount to Smiling
(includes soft drink and chocolate)
Very nice nature stretch with beautiful scenery and small rapids with flat water stretches. Any one can do the mount to smiling one. From kids to grandparents. Nice for birding. Combos such as Cheetah interaction, paintball, quad biking, raft fishing can be arranged as well.

Parys Town to Rocky
(includes soft drink and chocolate)
Start in Parys town and raft down to the take out point at Rocky. This is in the Dome berg land conservation area part of the Vaal River and the most commercialised stretch of white water in South Africa. It is in a world heritage site and the oldest and largest meteorite impact site in the world. The biggest rapid is called big daddy on this one. Other fun rapids such as whiplash where you can surf with your two man inflatable raft (croc). And carry your raft up and run the rapid again! Can be combined with paintball, teambuilding, raft fishing etc.

Parys to Kawuki land (Mr Bones)
(includes soft drink and chocolate)
Raft from Parys town to Kawuki land where the scenes for Mr bones one was shot. The same rout as Parys to Rocky but you paddle past Rocky down to Kawuki land. With more rapids such as Look Sharp, down to the famous gatsien rapid. Playtime at Gatsien is 6 in a boat, swimming the rapid, running the rapid again etc. Can also be combined with river boarding, teambuilding, paintball and much more.

- Duration 4.5 to 5 hours
- Grading of rapids level 1 to 3 (depending on water level)
Two day rafting (hang bridge to TOD)
Raft from the upper part of Parys town thru the scenic surroundings at many islands down to TOD. Paddle down to the island camp on the first day. Running rapids such as gaping jaws, big daddy and so on. At the island camp you can either sleep in tents, island huts or chalets on the banks of the Vaal River. With relaxed surroundings and a nice campfire for atmosphere. On day two rafting begins at the camp. Raft deeper into the Vredefort dome with rapids such as gatsien, knuckle crusher, rollercoaster etc.

- Maximum of 40 People
- Duration day one 3 to 4 hours
- Duration day two 3 to 4 hours
- Grading of rapids level 1 to 3 (depending on water level)
- River lunch
What we provide on the day:
- Transport and logistics – once in the vicinity.
- If pre arranged excellent bush cuisine for brunch, raft lunch or supper.
- Experienced APA trained guides on River Rafting trips.
- All rafting equipment, i.e. Boats, Life Jackets, Helmets, Waterproof Buckets, etc for the duration of the Rafting trip.
- Covering of all costs for servitude, localized transport, etc.
What you will need for the day:
Dry clothes after the Rafting trip, Costume, Strops, Towel, Hat to prevent sunburn, Shorts, T-shirt, Sun block a definite must, Windbreaker, Spec-floats, Soft drinks, Snacks for the river, Energy drinks, Water, Wet-suit in Winter, Sunglasses strap and some SPIRIT FOR ADVENTURE!!!
DR'S NOTE OF FITNESS - If any medical procedures have been experienced, if on any medication, if subject to any seizures, or other medical conditions, e.g. diabetes, anxiety, do not hesitate to let us know!!
Personal insurance. Make sure your insurance covers adventure activities.
Do not bring:
- Valuables, Jewellery, Rolex watches, Weapons.
- And LEAVE Alcohol for afterwards.
